Scheduling and Automating Notifications

Learn how to schedule notifications for a particular date, multiple dates or set up a recurring notification.

Scheduling notification helps you to set up notification campaigns in advance for any event you have on a particular date or multiple dates. You can also set-up a continuous cycle of notifications that go out of the system automatically.

Creation

There are 3 ways in which you can schedule your notifications:

1. From your dashboard navigate to Scheduled Notifications

2. Click on the Create new notification button present in the top right corner.

3. Design the notification by filling in the details, upon scrolling down “check” schedule notification for later in order to:**

  • One - time
  • Multiple Dates
  • Recurring

* One Time

Select this option if you plan to send a notification on a particular date & time.You can also make sure that the notification gets delivered at subscriber’s local time by toggling the button to “Yes”. * Multiple Dates

This option enables you to select multiple dates and time on which you want your notification to get delivered. After selecting a date and time you can click on “Add Another” to add more dates on which you want notifications to get pushed out of the system.

* Recurring
You can schedule two types of recurring campaigns:
a. Fixed period
b. Never End

a. Fixed Period:

If you want the system to send out notifications to your subscribers for a fixed period of time then you can determine that period by selecting a “Start Date” and an “End Date”.

After selecting the period you can also select the time of the day at which you want the notification to be pushed and also the frequency of the notification e.g.notification to be pushed daily, weekly or monthly.

For Example: Suppose you want the system to push out notification automatically for an entire month of January, every day and at a particular time of the day, then your start date will be 1st January 2018 and the end date will be 31st January 2018, you want it to Repeat Daily at say 12:44 AM.

b. Never End

Selecting this option would mean that you want the system to push out notifications to your subscribers for an unlimited period of time. You can select the time of the day at which you want the notification to be pushed out. You can also select how frequently you want to push out the notification by choosing among the option daily, weekly and monthly.

For Example: Suppose you want the system to push out notifications every day automatically at 12:44 AM starting from 1st January 2018 without ever ending. Therefore this will be a Neverending Recurring campaign, your Start Date will be 1st January 2018 and you want this to Repeat itself Daily at 12:44 AM.
